Troopers Investigate Fatal Industrial Accident in the Village of Pulaski

UPDATE Nov. 19 1:15 p.m.

(Pulaski, NY – November 19, 2013) – State Police have released the name of the victim: Kyle M. Brown – age 23 – of 3926 East Road, Turin, NY.

PULASKI, NY – At approximately 2:06 p.m., today (Nov. 18), State Police in Pulaski responded to a report of a construction accident at the F.X. Caprara construction site along State Route 13 in the village of Pulaski.

The investigation has revealed that a member of the construction crew on site, a 23-year-old man, was in the process of installing metal roofing on the new building, about 24 feet off the ground, when a gust of wind blew him and a piece of the roofing off of the roof structure.

The victim was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse by NOCA ambulance.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., the victim was pronounced deceased from the injuries he had suffered in the fall, troopers said tonight.

The name of the victim isn’t being released until next of kin has been notified.
