OSWEGO, NY – A variety of bands and musicians will perform on Wednesday from 5-10 p.m. at The American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St., for an all-star evening of live music to benefit the Toy Drive for Toys for Tots of Oswego County.
Entertainment will include Off the Reservation, Dirtroad Ruckus, John McConnell, Vitamin X, John Luber and other special guests.
Entry to the event is free, with each donated new toy. Individuals will also be then entered into a chance to win one of many gift baskets and prizes.
People are asked to bring a new, unwrapped, non-violent toy for boys and girls up to age 15.
According to event organizer Michael Coon, the “Cooney’s Tunes for Tots” event was a tremendous success last year at the Foundry and they are looking to build upon that again this holiday season.
“The new venue last year at the American Foundry provided the perfect setting for Tunes for Tots,” Coon said. “We are looking forward to an incredible evening, and I greatly appreciate the support I have received from Kristen Comstock, Amanda Crawford, my mother, Carol Dawson, Toys for Tots coordinator Chris Jones, Angel Bartlett’s Photography, and Quality Inn and Suites, on all of the planning, coordination and support of the event.”
“We continue to raise the bar on this musical tradition, and are hopeful that we will surpass the total toy donations we gathered last year,” he added.
Food and beverages will also be available.
According to Coon, the community support for the raffle gift baskets and prizes has been considerable, and that all toys that are donated are distributed locally to children throughout Oswego County.
