‘Tunes’ Supports Toys for Tots

OSWEGO, NY – Toys For Tots of Oswego County will hold its annual Tunes For Tots this month.

The event will take place December 14 at The American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St. from 5 to 10 p.m.

Special guests John McConnell, Vitamin-X, The Billionaires, Dirtroad Ruckus and Off The Reservation will be performing live.

“With many of our favorite local musicians donating their time and putting together an amazing show, it’s easy to see why Tunes For Tots has become a community favorite to attend year after year,” said Michael Coon, event coordinator.

Toys For Tots’ sole purpose is to provide brand new unwrapped, non-violent toys and new books to the many children of the community.

They are committed to assisting families by providing toys and books to children during the holiday seasons.

Last year, Tunes For Tots gathered 772+ toys and books from people through its efforts.

“We also raised $918, which goes directly to the Toys For Tots program. In 2015 our local Toys For Tots toy drives was able to help 4,862 children,” Coon said. “But, with your help, we hope to reach more than 5,000 children in 2016.”

A large part of its success is due to the continued support of Oswego County and the local businesses in Central New York’s surrounding communities.

Toys For Tots, in conjunction with Cooney’s Tunes For Tots, would greatly appreciate your contributions towards this important cause by becoming an event sponsor or simply making a gift or toy donation to this year’s annual drive for Toys For Tots.

“It’s free admission with a toy or $8, but last year almost everyone brought toys obviously and anyone that did just pay, paid more than what we asked,” he said. “The toys are what we want most, even though money will go to Toys For Tots as well.Should you wish to contribute, please kindly contact us for more information and you too can become a part of our Tunes For Tots toy drive.”
