Police say two men got into an argument about a woman Thursday night and one wound up in the hospital.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department says that the incident happened in an apartment at Chateau West, 20 Eleventh St., in the town of Granby.

Police allege that Michael D. Avery, 21, of the apartment complex argued with 18 year old Ryan Deuel.  They were reportedly arguing over a woman who lives in the apartment complex.

The argument ended at about 9:46 p.m., when police allege Avery stabbed Deuel several times.

Deuel is reported to be in fair condition at University Hospital in Syracuse.

Avery was charged with two felonies — assault and criminal possession of a weapon.  He is in the Oswego County Correctional Facility on bail of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.  He is scheduled to appear in Granby town court on July 14.
