Two Men Facing Several Felonies, Misdemeanors

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men they say are responsible for a variety of crimes in the area.

On Wednesday at 6:54 p.m., Damien E. Bartlett, 19, of 1538 River Road, Port Byron, and Randy J. Shoults, 22, of 277 Ridge Road, Oswego, were arrested for nine counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen Property, a class A misdemeanor.

The arrests stem from the investigation into stolen property found in the form of multiple G.P.S. units, cigars, a DeWalt saw and personal papers, at a town of Oswego residence that had allegedly been taken from vehicles in the town of Minetto area during the early weeks of September 2013.

Bartlett and Shoults were arraigned in the Town of Oswego Court by Hon. Judge Sterio.

They were remanded to the Oswego County Jail with a return to court date of Jan. 6, 2014.

At the same time, Bartlett and Shoults were also arrested for fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony, following the investigation into an incident in the town of Minetto on Sept. 5, where they allegedly broke into a vehicle and stole a handgun.

Both individuals were arraigned in the Town of Minetto Court by Hon. Judge Auyer.

They were remanded to the Oswego County Jail with no bail set for Bartlett and bail for Shoults set at $10,000/$20,000.

They are to appear in Minetto Town Court on Dec. 18 to answer these charges.
