The Art Association of Oswego announces two upcoming art classes. Introduction to Printmaking will be offered on Monday and Wednesday, July 20th and 22nd, from 6-9 pm. This class will focus on making Monotypes–one of the simplest yet most expressive methods of printmaking. Participants will also learn the basics of using a Dickerson combination press.

A second class will be offered to explore Mixed Media. Participants will be guided through the process of combining drawing, painting and collage into abstract compositions, both large and small. This class will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday, July 21st and 23rd, from 6-9 pm.

Classes will be taught in the printshop at the Oswego Civic Arts Center across from Fort Ontario. They are intended for adults and teenagers, but no previous art experience is necessary. Cost for each class $30 for Art Association members and $36 for nonmembers. New or renewed memberships can be arranged on the first night of class, if desired. Please contact instructor Bill DeMott at 342-1800 to sign up and find out what to bring.
