The Art Association of Oswego announces the opening of two new art exhibitions this coming weekend at the Civic Arts Center. The 2008 installment of the Annual Members’ Show will open on the second floor in the Timothy McHenry Gallery.  On the first floor, in the Jo Hyse Gallery, work by members of Hat Factory, a collective of emerging local artists, will debut.

Both shows will begin with an opening reception on Saturday, July 19th from 7 – 9 pm.  The reception is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served. The exhibitions will run through Sunday, August 24th.

The Oswego Civic Arts Center is located at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego directly across from Fort Ontario.   Regular gallery hours are 2-5 pm on weekends, with extended hours during Harborfest weekend.  Group tours are welcome.  Call the Art Association at 315 343-5675 with questions or visit them at
