FULTON, NY – Gregory C. Dinant Jr., 36, of 1236 County Route 85, Hannibal, was arrested after an investigation by the City of Fulton Police Department and charged with the following crimes:
Assault in the First Degree – Class B Felony
Criminal Poss. Weapon Third – Class D Felony
Criminal Mischief Second – Class D Felony
Criminal Poss. Weapon Fourth – Class A Misdemeanor
Reckless Endangerment Second (5 counts) – Class A Misdemeanor
Aggravated Unlicensed Operator

On May 10, at about 7:54 p.m., Fulton Police were dispatched to a reported a motor vehicle accident, with one vehicle having struck a metal utility pole.
The collision occurred on the Oneida Street Bridge near North First Street, in the city of Fulton.
The Initial investigation found that a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo occupied by five people was traveling eastbound across the Oneida Street Bridge being chased by a 2002 Chevrolet Pickup Truck occupied by three people.
The 2002 Chevrolet pickup intentionally struck the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo from behind several times, according to police.
When the 2002 Chevrolet pickup struck the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo the final time, it caused the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo to spin out of control striking a metal utility pole, police said.
The 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck reportedly continued eastbound on Oneida Street and never stopped at the accident scene.
One of the passengers in the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo suffered serious physical injury and was transported to Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, for emergency surgery.
A second passenger suffered broken ribs, bruising and swelling.
Through an extensive investigation, the operator of the 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck was found to be Gregory Dinant, police announced today (May 21).
Dinant is currently in police custody awaiting to be arraigned in Fulton City Court.
