02/17/2011 – Onondaga County Civil War Roundtable

In honoring the 150^th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s first inauguration, the Onondaga County Civil War Round Table will be sponsoring a free program, 150 Years After:  An Assessment of Lincoln’s First Inaugural Address, featuring Professor Richard F. Somer of Hamilton College. Dr. Somer will review the rhetorical challenge that Lincoln faced on March 4, 1860, and assess how Lincoln used language to meet the needs of that critical moment in the nation’s history.
