Winter Storm Warning
A winter storm warning starts at 10 p.m. today (March 1) and continues through 10 p.m. Friday (March 2) for Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties.
WHAT: Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are expected.
WHERE: The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. Greatest accumulations across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill.
WHEN: From 10 p.m. March 1 to 10 p.m. March 2.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Friday.
Gusty winds and wet heavy snow could cause tree branches to fall, resulting in scattered power outages.
Significant reductions in visibility are expected.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.
