United Way Stuff-A-Bus Campaign Under Way


FULTON, NY – While the first day of school is still more than a month away, the United Way is already planning for the 2010 / 2011 school year.

The agency’s annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign is now under way.

The campaign looks to collects much-needed school supplies for children in need throughout Oswego County.

Ali McGrath, who is coordinating the campaign for the United Way said that collection boxes have been distributed at a number of locations throughout Oswego County.

Community members are urged to help support the campaign by placing donations of school supplies in the boxes.

Donations will be accepted now through Aug. 13 when the campaign concludes with a special collection day.

On Aug. 13 the United Way will have school buses at nine locations throughout Oswego County where donations made at the location will be collected as well as additional donations that can be dropped off at the site from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The school buses will be located at the following sites:

  • Wal-Mart on Route 49 in Central Square
  • Wal-Mart on Route 104 in Oswego
  • Wal-Mart on Route 3 in Granby
  • Kinney Drugs on Main Street in Mexico
  • Kinney Drugs on Route 13 in Pulaski
  • Kinney Drugs on 17 South First Street in Fulton
  • Staples on Route 104 in Oswego
  • The Hannibal Village Market IGA, Route 3 in Hannibal
  • Fulton Savings Bank parking lot, Route 57 in Phoenix
