USPS Driver Killed In MVA On Ridge Road

OSWEGO – At about 11:40 a.m. today (Nov. 20), the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal motor vehicle crash on Ridge Road in the town of Granby.

A USPS delivery truck was northbound on Ridge Road, lost control on the wet roadway, left the eastside of the roadway, struck a tree, ejecting the driver and the vehicle overturned onto the ejected driver, according to the police report.

The operator was pronounced dead at the scene.

Assisting with the crash scene were Granby Fire Department, Menter Ambulance and the New York State Police.

Ridge Road was closed for several hours but has since been reopened.

The investigation remains active.
