CICERO, N.Y. — Children ages 3 through those in grade 5 will be able to take a High Seas Expedition during Vacation Bible School held at Faith Lutheran Church August 9 through 13 from 9 a.m. until noon. “They’ll share God’s love as they worship, pray and play together,†said the Rev. James C. Doyle, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church. “The church offers its Vacation Bible School ministry to fulfill its mission, which is to share the Gospel of salvation.â€
Each day, Faith Lutheran Church will set sail for VBS fun on the high seas, explained Jeanne Bronner, Liverpool, VBS coordinator. “We’ll feel sea spray on our faces as sails snap overhead – and the children and VBS staff will experience the deep, rolling waters of God’s love,†she said. “It’s easily the best time we’ll have all summer – and this ship’s bound for Faith Lutheran Church.â€
Open to all children ages 3 and older, the Faith Lutheran VBS will help children hear daily Bible verses and experience God’s Word in a new way. “This new approach to VBS will create boatloads of ‘God sightings’ that will help children recognize, know and grow in God’s mighty love,†said Doyle.
Vacation Bible School at Faith Lutheran Church, 6142 State Route 31, is free and open to the public. Teen-aged and adult volunteer helpers also are needed. For further information and to register, call the church office at 699-5224.
