Vauter, Demo And Mrzywka Kick Off July As Triple NAPA Know How Performers Of The Week

By Dave Medler
BREWERTON, NY – This week we have decided to go with three drivers who don’t know the word quit by overcoming a lot this season to find victory lane to become the “NAPA Know How” Performers Of The Week.

Dan Vauter not only this season, but the last couple years fought the racing demons that have plagued this family owned and self-sponsored team.

When a lot of teams would have given up the long tow from Pennsylvania  to race closer to home, this team keep digging and it finally paid off last Friday, June 29 with his first ever Brewerton Speedway Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified feature win.

Vauter also related it was his first ever win up north from his home.

Rick Demo has come close many times in the past for a trip to victory lane at the Brewerton Speedway in the Beaver River Distribution Mod Lites.

This season ,Demo overcame a vicious crash  at the Fulton Speedway putting his car back together to compete again.

Last Friday night, Demo put it all together as he held off two of the top drivers in the division, Joe Isabell and Mike Mullen for his first ever trip to the Brewerton Speedway victory lane.

Before the night’s racing last Saturday at the Fulton Speedway, SUNY Canton Sportsman driver, Greg Mrzywka’s  father said that this season, if there was trouble and bad luck to be found, there race team would find it right down to getting caught up in an incident and flipping the car.

Like Vauter, instead of throwing in the towel and racing closer to their Holley, NY, home, they kept coming back to Fulton. Saturday night, their perseverance paid off with a trip to victory lane.

For their performances, Dan Vauter, Rick Demo and Greg Mrzywka, will receive $100 “NAPA Know How Performer of The Week” that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.
