OSWEGO — The Oswego County Historical Society will host the annual Christmas Open House on December 6 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St.
The event is free and open to the public.
“The historic Richardson-Bates House Museum will be fully decorated in the Victorian style,” said Justin White, president of the board of trustees.”We welcome the community to join us in celebrating the holiday season in the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas.”
This year’s open house will host special musical entertainment by the Oswego High School Chamber Singers, directed by music teacher Robert Dumas.
Traditional holiday songs will be featured.
Refreshments will also be served throughout the afternoon.
The Oswego County Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the rich history of the county.
The society maintains and operates the Richardson-Bates House Museum, a historic landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The museum is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 – 5 p.m. and other days by appointment.
