OSWEGO, NY – Vincent J. Malerba, 74, of Birch Lane, Oswego, died Wednesday morning Sept. 10, 2008, in University Hospital, Syracuse.
Mr. Malerba was born in Syracuse and had been a resident of the Scriba ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ Oswego area for the past four years.
Mr. Malerba was a cement mason for Local #519, Syracuse.
He worked many years for Niagara Mohawk of Syracuse.
Mr. Malerba was a member of the Elbridge and Liverpool Rod & Gun Club and the Leatherstocking Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Malerba of Oswego; his son, Michael Malerba of California; five daughters, Catherine (Monty) Moss of Indiana, Christine (George) Soderlund of Lacona, Mary Jo (Tom) Torrick of Eastwood, Angela Somers of North Syracuse and Andrea Malerba of California; his brother, Gerald (Mary) Malerba of Cicero; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 9 a.m. in the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Oswego.
Burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday 4 ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ 6 p.m. at the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
