FULTON, NY – Viola M. Sweet, 97, of Fulton, died Wednesday October 24, 2012, at Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton.
Mrs. Sweet was born in Oswego Center to the late Arthur and Hazel (King) McLaughlin.
She had been a resident of the Fulton and Oswego area all of her life.
Mrs. Sweet was a life member of the Hannibal American Legion Post #1552, and a member of the Oswego Center Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Sweet, in 2001.
Mrs. Sweet is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kerr of Fulton; brother, Frederick McLaughlin of Saratoga Springs, NY; sister, Bernice Bateman of Oswego, NY; three grandchildren, Timothy (Carlin) Kerr, George (Amity) Kerr and Shannon Kerr Beebe; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, with Rev. Elyse Skiles officiating.
Burial will be held in Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling hours will be conducted 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
