VOLNEY – Volney Elementary students have been on a roll with their goals and have displayed teamwork throughout the month of October.
Both achievements were celebrated during a recent school assembly where nearly 40 students received special recognition from Principal Todd Terpening.
Applause, cheers and an On a Roll certificate of recognition for progress made with an academic or social goals were provided to the following students:
Beckett Cates, Natalee Holmes, Mackenna Stuber, Edward Bonning, Jaxson Dorschel, Hayleigh Sixberry, Brayden Ives, Audrina Horton, Aurav Khera, Allie Deuel, Kane Morey, Nate Havens, Marleah Hudson, Chase Spohn, Aidan Cocopoti, Haven Hicks, Shyanne Burnswick, RJ Nash and Michael Bird.
Principal Terpening also awarded Principal’s Awards for students who served as classroom role models for their teamwork displayed throughout October.
Those honorees were recognized because they excelled as a member of a group, were loyal and worked hard to achieve success.

Willow Vail, Abigail Janes, Ava Thurlow, Alina Iyzk, Gabe Dowie, Caylin Maynard, Elizabeth Blake, Tyler Zinter, Braydn Scott, Ethan Gilbert, Mason Parks, CJ Rowlee, Kierra Fairbanks, Julian Graziano, Owen Gilbert, Aden LaVallee, Solange Catano-Matip, Jacob Ingersoll, Zavier Webster and Nathan Zody.
All other students were encouraged by their principal to work hard throughout the remainder of the 2018-19 school year so they, too, may be recognized for their efforts.
