The ceremony gave students at the school an opportunity to celebrate their patriotism and honor local military veterans for their service. The Dygert boys honored their grandmother who served in the United States Air Force.

The emotional ceremony provided students and faculty with an opportunity to celebrate their patriotism and pay special tribute to nearly 50 local veterans who served or are currently serving in our country’s armed forces.

Students were asked to invite a veteran to the ceremony and were given an opportunity to present their guest of honor with a flower while School Principal Jeff Hendrickson spoke about the honoree and the honoree’s military service.

Each special guest of honor was also presented with a commemorative thank you certificate on behalf of the entire school.
