Volney Students Recognized for Demonstrating Perseverance


Volney Elementary School Principal Jeff Hendrickson recognized the following students for demonstrating the March character virtue of the month, perseverance: Alekzander Roberts, Dominick Vosseller, Ashley Taplin, Tyler Ingersoll, Lucas Smith, Chris Clarke, Amber Jackson, Shayla Sykes, Kaydin Dunsmore, Andrew Grant, Madison Shaffner, Ben Roberts, Jesse Weber, Mykenzie Castaldo, Samantha McRae, Piper Dunning, Macie Garrison, Zach Furlong, Angel Ortiz, Aaron Dedich, Josh Nobel, Bailey Hounihan, and Zachary Brown. Pictured with the role models is Greg Callen from Move Along Inc. who was a special guest at the school’s recent character education assembly. Wheelchair bound due to a detrimental fall, Callen spoke to Volney students about overcoming challenges and the importance of maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity.
