FULTON – Volunteers at Michaud Residential Health Services were honored at a special luncheon at the Riverside Restaurant. The theme of this year’s volunteer celebration, “Exceptional Volunteers”, built upon National Nursing Home Week celebrations taking place at Michaud and reflected the contributions volunteers make at Michaud and in all areas of our community.
“Each year we invite all of our residents to a gathering in their honor. This gives us a chance to formally express our deepest thanks for all they do on behalf of our residents and have some fun and visit together,” said Activities Director Sue Parkinson. “Our volunteers play an important role in the lives of our residents and we are proud that they are part of our team. The time and energy they share contributes to the warm and homelike environment our residents enjoy at Michaud.”
Making the event special was the guest of honor, TV personality Mike Price. Price talked about the importance of volunteering in our community and even related a few stories from his days at news station WSYR Channel 9.
