Wadas Named Red Cross’s Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month

Fran Wadas is the American Red Cross of Central New York – Oswego Branch Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for August.  She has been a volunteer with the Red Cross for 12 years.  She was initially drawn to the Red Cross because she enjoys helping people and really appreciates those who can and will give blood.  She enjoys meeting new people all the time when she is working a blood drive.

In her 12 years with the Red Cross Fran has helped with the Red Cross Clubs, been a part of the Advisory Council and helped with the Bridge to Caring Walks.  She has helped out by baking treats for the blood drives and enjoys working at the NY State Fair helping park cars for the Red Cross.

The most rewarding aspect of working with the Red Cross is she has enjoyed meeting many different people.. She enjoys spending time with them and sharing their knowledge and experiences with them. She says that she has not met anyone she didn’t like.

Fran would strongly encourage others to take time out of their schedules and volunteer with the Red Cross.  She finds it very rewarding to see so many people willing to help in anyway they can.

Fran lives inScribaNY.  She has four children.  She belongs to RSVP, she is Vice President of the Granby Seniors, and she serves on the committee forCampHollis’s Senior Camping program.

Congratulations to Fran for being our Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for August.
