Warm Up Oswego Festival Set February 6

Warm Up Oswego

OSWEGO, NY – Melt away the “winter blues” and join us February 6 for the 11th Annual Warm Up Oswego as it presents the “Fire and Ice Festival!”

The hottest winter festival in CNY is lead this year by the Just Push Play Productions and promises the best festival yet.

Warm Up Oswego“We will have all the great activities that fest-goers have come to love, with a new footprint for the festival,” said Nathan Emmons, festival chair.

This year’s festival will have a single location at Elim Grace Church, located at 340 W. First St., which allows for both indoor and outdoor activities along with plenty of parking.

Indoor and outdoor activities will happen throughout the afternoon and the festival will cap off the day’s entertainment with world famous Pyrotechnico fireworks at 6 p.m. over the Oswego River.

Inside events include performances, magic, music, a live broadcast of “On The Porch Radio Hour,” hot and spicy food vendors, 30 vendors, Hot Chili Cook Off, children’s activities and demonstrations from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Outdoor activities will include a family fun run/walk along the West Riverwalk, GeoCaching Hunt in the Snow, snow bowling, snowman making and more.

Back for its 11th year is the Downtown Hot Scavenger/Treasure Hunt, sponsored by Shop Oswego Live Oswego (SOLO) with a grand prize worth $1,000, donated by JP Jewelers.

More than 25 area businesses are participating this year.

The scavenger hunt will begin a week prior, giving hunters an entire week to visit the stores, find the chili pepper, match the right clue to the business and get their passport stamped.

Drawing for the grand prize will be at 4:45 p.m. on February 6 at Elim Grace Church.

Completed passports must be turned into the information desk in Elim Grace by 4 p.m. on festival day.

Hot Scavenger Hunt forms can be picked up the participating businesses beginning on February 1 or online www.WarmUpOswegoFestival.com
