OSWEGO, NY – Melt away the “winter blues” on February 7 for the 10th annual Warm Up Oswego Festival.
The hottest winter festival in CNY is lead this year by the Oswego Network of Entrepreneurs and promises the best festival yet.
This year’s festival will have two headquarters, one outdoors in the Civic Plaza area at Oneida and West First streets and the other indoor headquarters will be in the King Arthur’s building at West First and Bridge streets.
Opening ceremonies begin at noon in Civic Plaza.
Indoor and outdoor activities will happen throughout the afternoon, throughout downtown Oswego.
The festival will cap off the day’s entertainment with world famous Pyrotechnico fireworks at 6 p.m. over the Oswego River.
Inside events include performances, music, hot and spicy foods, 40 vendors including many local crafters, Hot Chili Cook Off, quilt raffle, children’s activities and demonstrations from noon until 5 p.m.
Outdoor activities include the Hot 2K fun run/walk, Treasure Hunt in the Snow, live music, Magic by Christopher Weihl, Enclothe Oswego clothing giveaway, Crazy Costume Sled race, snow bowling, snow man making and more.
Warm Up with hot coffee, hot chocolate or a hot dog for sale in the main tent by Boy Scout Troop 888.
Back for its 10th year is the Downtown Hot Scavenger Hunt with a grand prize of $250.
More than 40 area businesses are participating this year.
A new twist, the scavenger hunt will begin a week prior, giving hunters an entire week to visit the stores and get there passport stamped.

This year, Warm Up Hot Spots will be events that are taking place around town during Warm Up Oswego Festival hours. Warm Up After Dark venues will be taking place after the fireworks at local restaurants and bars throughout town.
