FULTON – On Good Friday, area residents are encouraged to prepare for the Easter resurrection by first participating in the Good Friday Cross Walk to be held in the city of Fulton.
This annual event is a reflective walk through downtown Fulton where walkers share in the carrying of a wooden cross with stops along the way for reflecting on Christ’s journey with His cross to Calvary.
The walk begins in the parking lot of Holy Trinity Parish on the Rochester Street side at 10:15 a.m. and progresses over to Oneida Street and downtown pausing for brief scripture reference and prayer at different locations along the way.
It concludes by noon at First United Church , 22 S. Third St., where soup and bread will be provided for participants in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
