LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY.

WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM FRIDAY TO 6 PM EST SATURDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM FRIDAY TO 6 PM EST SATURDAY.

THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

LOCATIONS: OSWEGO COUNTY.

TIMING: WIND CHILL ADVISORY THROUGH THIS MORNING.

INITIAL LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL BE FOUND HEAVIEST THIS MORNING. THEN LIFT
NORTHWARD OUT OF THE COUNTY BY NOONTIME.

AFTER A BRIEF LULL, SYNOPTIC SNOW WILL TRANSITION TO LAKE EFFECT SNOW AGAIN
TONIGHT WITH THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW EXPECTED TO BE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH SATURDAY.

WINDS AND WIND CHILLS: WEST 15 TO 20 MPH PRODUCING WIND CHILLS AS LOW AS 20 BELOW ZERO THIS MORNING.

SOUTHWEST WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT WILL
PRODUCE BLOWING SNOW.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TODAY: 4 TO 6 INCHES IN THE MOST PERSISTENT LAKE SNOWS.

SNOWFALL RATES UP TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR ACROSS THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY EXPECTED IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW BANDS THIS MORNING.

SNOW THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY: STORM TOTALS OF 1 TO 2 FEET IN THE MOST PERSISTENT SNOW BANDS.

SNOWFALL RATES OVER 3 INCHES AN HOUR ARE LIKELY.

VISIBILITIES: AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES TODAY. NEAR ZERO FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

IMPACTS: BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR EXPOSED SKIN THIS MORNING.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL PRODUCE DIFFICULT TRAVEL WITH LOW VISIBILITY AND SNOW COVERED-ROADS THIS MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

ANOTHER ROUND OF VERY HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS LIKELY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY  WHICH COULD LEAD TO VERY DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS DEEP SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND LOW VISIBILITIES.
