Welfare Fraud Alleged

OSWEGO – On Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m., Darlene H. Manning, 45, of 12 Shore Road, Oswego, was arrested for fourth degree welfare fraud, fourth degree grand larceny and first degree offering a false instrument for filing, all class E felonies.

The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Department of Social Services.

She allegedly received monies in the form of food stamps between July 2011 to September 2011 due to not reporting incomes received.

Manning is scheduled to answer the charges on Oct. 13 in the Town of Mexico Court.
