William Elmer Shepard, 62, of Phoenix, NY passed away on Monday Dec. 5, 2011.
Born in Fulton, NY to his late parents, Elmer (10/8/88) and Bertha (5/23/2011)(Stewart) Shepard on 9/11/1949. Bill graduated from the J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix, class of 1969.
He later became an engineer for the village of Phoenix, Dept. of Public Works. He was a long time member of Pennellville and Phoenix Fire Depts.
Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, the former Janet Pagliaroli; one son, Robert Pagliaroli of Phoenix; brothers and sisters, Shirley Meglino of Phoenix, Larry (Joan Rooker) Shepard of Lyons, Richard (Pat) Shepard of Syracuse, Donna (Bernie) Martin of Plattsburg, Brenda (Rippy) Alvarado of Fulton; two grandchildren, Christina Pagliaroli, Sheri Remington; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are this Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 1 pm in the Allanson-Glanville-TappanFuneral Homes, Inc., 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY, with the Rev. Diane Bradshaw officiating. Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St., Phoenix. Calling hours will begin before the service from 11 am to 1 pm in the funeral home. A gathering of family and friends will be after the burial at the Phoenix Fire Station, 457 Main St., Phoenix.
