William Smith Tops Laker Field Hockey

GENEVA, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team took a 7-0 loss to host and nationally-ranked William Smith College on Friday evening.

In the first half, the No. 9 Herons were able to notch six goals, with Priscilla Paulose making four saves for the Lakers.

Oswego was able to slow its opponent in the second half, as Sarita Charap, making her collegiate debut, stopped 13 shots in goal, holding William Smith to just one score.

The squad will be back in action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when it travels to Ithaca College to take on the Bombers.
