William W. Stauring, Sr., of Fulton died Sunday, on his 78th birthday.
He was a life resident of Fulton. Bill was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 418, Phoenix. He retired July 1, 1995 from Carrier Corporation where he worked as a machinist for many years. Bill enjoyed bowling, camping, hunting and bass fishing.
He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Beverly P. Stauring; two sons, James Ducker of Fulton and William (Kelly) Stauring, Jr. of Minetto; a brother, Newell Stauring of Fulton; sister-in-law, Marion Stauring of Fulton; six grandchildren, Robbie Brand, Melissa (Benjamin) Pierce, Jamie Ducker, Patsy Stauring, Kyle Stauring and Casey Stauring; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Friday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Spring burial will be in Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
