A BAND OF LAKE ENHANCED SNOW OVER OSWEGO COUNTY WILL SHIFT SOUTH AND WEST OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS INTO NORTHERN CAYUGA AND WAYNE COUNTIES.

SNOWFALL WITHIN THIS BAND WILL BE MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF UP TO AN INCH AN HOUR.

VISIBILITY IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL BE REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER OF A MILE AT TIMES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL INCLUDE PARISH, FULTON, OSWEGO, FAIR HAVEN, SODUS AND NEWARK.

IF DRIVING THROUGH THE SNOW ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

2 TO 4 INCHES WEDNESDAY
3 TO 5 INCHES WEDNESDAY NIGHT
AND AN INCH OR LESS  THURSDAY.

LEADING TO 48-HOUR STORM TOTALS OF 7 TO 13 INCHES.

WINDS: NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH.

VISIBILITIES: AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

IMPACTS: AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF MODERATE SNOW WILL RESULT IN SNOW-COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NORMALLY ISSUED FOR A VARIETY OF WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS SUCH AS LIGHT SNOW, BLOWING SNOW, SLEET, FREEZING RAIN AND WIND CHILLS.
