Witches Parade to fill Fair Haven’s Main Street with Halloween Fun

FAIR HAVEN, NY – It’s time for all ghouls, goblins, gnomes and witches to pull the costumes from the closet and polish the pumpkins. Fair Haven’s annual All-Hallow-Eve Celebration and Witches Parade is on its way.

These fiendish Halloween imps will be abundant on October 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fair Haven Village Park with the parade flooding Main Street with witches, wizards and ghouls at noon.

New this year is a children’s float contest to see who can create the most chilling float with prizes for everyone. Also new is a certified appraiser (ala Antiques Roadshow) who will tell you what your household items and collectibles are really worth.

The event will include vendors, children’s games and crafts, hamburgers and hots by the American Legion and monster mash music by D.J. Bob Riggio. The lineup for the parades will begin on South Fancher at 11:45 a.m. and kids of all ages are welcome.

Once again, the Screamer’s Hollow Hearse and the Headless Horseman will lead the parade down Main Street.

Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Fair Haven Food Pantry.

Food is welcome and each dollar donated translates in $4 worth of food for the needy.

The collectable appraisals cost $3 per item with $1 going to the food pantry.

Mark the 27th on your calendar and come enjoy the event and visit the stores on Fair Haven’s resurgent Main Street.
