Yolanda Dixon, 85 of Downey Dr., Oswego died Monday in the Oswego Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Conzone) Palloni. Mrs. Dixon retired from the Oswego City School District as Secretary to the Principal of the Middle School.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry Dixon June 30, 2010, whom she would have been married to for sixty-six years. Mrs. Dixon was also predeceased by her her granddaughter Lizzie Dixon, and siblings Lucille Potter, Frederick and John Palloni.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by her children Mary Jean (Peter) Walker of Oswego, John (Margaret) Dixon of Oswego, Luann (Kevin) Kehoe of Oswego, Theresa (Stephen) McNulty of Boise, ID,, sister Mona Shannon, ten grandchildren Shannon, Peter M., John, Christopher, Tony, Kevin, Erin, Kristin, Kate, Hailey, five great grandchildren Nicholas, Chloe, Maddie, Linus, Lyla May. In addition Mrs. Dixon leaves behind her faithful companion Rocco.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday 9:00 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 –7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the charity of ones choice.
