OSWEGO, NY – On Sept. 9, the United Way of Greater Oswego County will kickoff its annual campaign.
For the past nine years, I have been actively involved with the United Way in a variety of capacities.
I have had the pleasure of serving as a board member. I have chaired and co-chaired several annual campaigns and am currently fortunate enough to be the president of the United Way’s board of directors.
I can tell you first-hand that everyone associated with the United Way from the staff, the board members, the volunteers who comprise the United Way’s Campaign Cabinet, and especially our highly valued workplace campaign coordinators who are the true heartbeat of the campaign and encourage their co-workers to pledge their support, are dedicated to helping the United Way achieve its mission of improving lives by empowering the community and are committed to reaching the goals of our annual campaign.
I encourage community members to join us for our annual campaign kickoff breakfast and learn more about how your United Way works to improve the quality of life in Oswego County.
In these economic times it is more important than ever we get as many community members as possible involved and excited to be helping their United Way make Oswego County a better place to live.
I invite you to join us at the American Foundry in Oswego to help us kick off our annual campaign and learn more about the positive impact your support of the United Way has on the lives of those who depend on the many human services programs that are supported by the United Way and offered through its member agencies.
For reservations and more information on the United Way’s annual campaign kickoff breakfast, contact Mary Tetro at your United Way office at 593-1900.
