Zach Caruso Earns Achievement Award At Leighton Annual Sixth Grade Ceremonies

OSWEGO, NY – This year Zachary Caruso was the recipient of the New York State Office of State Comptroller Achievement Award at the Frederick Leighton Elementary School.

As the school year came to an end Frederick Leighton sixth graders were recognized for their academic accomplishments.

Principal Julie Burger presented the President’s Education Awards for Excellence to Alex Bush, Olivia Dowdle, Rinaldo Iorizzo, Brianna Fernandez, Jacob Gerber, Olivia Peel, Kristie Reitz, Alex Zalenski, Collin Krassowski, Chase Pelton and Noah Wells.

The recipients of the President’s Award for Education Improvement were Morgan Knopp, Justin DeGrenier, Savannah Czuprynski, Hannah Brown and Caitlyn Johndrew.

Sixth graders from FLS moving on to Oswego Middle School from Catherine Kelly’s class included Timothy Barker, Dallas Bennett,  Kendra Brancato, Hannah Brown, Cameron Casaletta, Gregory Caster, Savannah Czuprynski, Oscar Derosa, Janice Diaz, Harley Gaebel, Tyler Hoey, Caitlyn Johndrew, Collin Krassowski, Cheyenne Malone, Aidan McGreevy,  Chase Pelton, Allister Phillips-Sherman, Madeline Phillips-Sherman, Cyrus Sheldon, Morgan Susino-Beshures, Noah Wells, Jacob White and Katelyn Wise.

In Jennifer Cahill’s class the students moving on were Alexis Alfano, Noah Byrne, Megan Clary, Joshua Connolly, Justin DeGrenier, James Diaz, Cameron Endres, Brianna Fernandez, Jacob Gerber, Austin Hall, Hannah Kielb, Dekota Knopp, Madison Larock, Olivia Peel, Ashley Pickhardt, Kristie Reitz, Delaney Roddy, Diane Schroeder, Michael Shepard, Christopher Turo,  Kenna Wallace, Logan Winterhalt and Alexander Zalenski.

The sixth graders in Laurel Artz’ class advancing to Oswego Middle School are Nicholas Barnum, Joseph Burnett, Alexander Bush, Zachary Caruso, Brandon Crowe, James Darling, Brandon Davis, Olivia Dowdle, Jeffrey Draper, Dolores Hernandez, Sophia Horn, Michael Hudson, Rinaldo Iorizzo, Christopher Kelly, Morgan Knopp, Marissa Kunzwiler, Amber Nettles, Johnny Pennington, Nicholas Pulver, Shyann Roberts and Beatta Trovato.
