George A Crisafulli, 82

OSWEGO, NY – George A. Crisafulli, 82, a resident of 79 Third Ave., Oswego, died Thursday evening Oct. 28, 2010, in Oswego Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born in Oswego, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Fatiga Crisafulli.

He was the husband of Laraine Trautman Crisafulli.

Mr. Crisafulli owned and operated Riverview Produce in Oswego for many years.

He was well-known for his fruit baskets and his great sense of humor.

He was a devoted husband and took great pride in his family.

Mr. Crisafulli and his wife had wintered for many years in Chandler, Ariz., and spent summers in Oswego before returning to Oswego year round in 2007.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jackie (Bob) Chetney and Tim (Renee) Mulkerin  both of Oswego; three granddaughters, Erin Chetney, Morgan Mulkerin and Abbey Mulkerin; one sister, Mary Helen (John) Colloca of Oswego; two sisters-in-law, Marg Crisafulli of Oswego and Gerri Crisafulli of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Catherine; and five brothers, Sam, Pat, Frank, John “Fuddy” and Charles; and a nephew, David Crisafulli.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be Sunday 1-3 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
