A Quick History

1999 Fulton Daily News opens as one of the nation’s first hyper-local online news publications. In 2001 Oswego Daily News was added.
2009 Dot Publishing combined Fulton Daily News and Oswego Daily News into Oswego County Today, Oswego’s best-read daily news publication.

Mission Statement:

Our Mission is to provide hyper-local news and be the community and entertainment information source for the localities we serve. We are committed to creating a community identity with the news and entertainment information we supply.

Fred Reed, Owner, and President of Dot Publishing, Inc.

Fred Reed, President of Dot Publishing, started work with Dot Publishing in 2007. In 2009, he became the Director of Operations. In 2013, he became the managing partner of Dot Publishing, Inc.

Fred is dedicated to local news and the values of unbiased reporting for smaller cities and communities.  In 2016, Fred added CNY Alive to Dot Publishing’s online publications. It is a calendar site purposed to promote local performers’ music and shows. He is a lover of local and original music.

“One of the best parts of what I do is interviewing local performers with video to stream to our readers,” Fred said.

Fred also has extensive experience in website design and hosting. OswegoCountyToday.com is the most dynamic site Dot Publishing has. Fred designed the template layout to deliver information to web browsers quickly and easy to navigate through.

Fred has an Associate’s degree in Multi-Media and has been in graphic design (print and web) for more than 15 years.
