Sam Natoli, 87; of Rte. 104 West Oswego passed away Thursday evening October 28th at Oswego Hospital.

He was born and raised in Oswego, and was the son of the late Bartolo and Nunziata Natoli. Mr. Natoli was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy. During World War II, Mr. Natoli received an accommodation from the Secretary of the Navy for his invention of the Air Craft Tow Bar.

Mr. Natoli retired from Nestle Co., after 32 years of service. He was an avid gardener, wine maker and Yankees fan. Mr. Natoli was also a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church, Oswego. Mr. Natoli was pre-deceased by his wife of 56 years, Carmela Natoli in 2004 as well as his five siblings.

He is survived by his son Bob (Peggy) Natoli of Oswego, daughter Eileen (Bob) O’Dell of Syracuse, granddaughters: Marianne (David Bourdon) Natoli of Oswego, and Kim (Ed) Williams of Syracuse, grandsons Bobby Natoli of Oswego, and Kevin (Amy) O’Dell of Baldwinsville, NY and five great grandchildren: Emily, Nathan, Megan, Grayson, and Ledger.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM in Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home and 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Oswego where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in All Saint’s Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St. Oswego, NY.

  1. Robert…Very Sorry about your Dad. I remember him way back when I lived in the area as a Kid, He was a Good man to all of us back then in the 1960’s.
