Oz Roller Girls, Albany All-Stars To Vie In ‘Cinco De Mayhem’

OSWEGO – Roller derby will return to Crisafulli Rink in Oswego as the Oz Roller Girls host the Albany All-Stars A Team on May 5.

Titled “Cinco de Mayhem,” the bout will start at 6 p.m., as the visitors look to avenge a loss to Oz from earlier this year. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Oz scored its first victory over an A team — specifying level of talent and experience — when it rallied to beat Albany 204-162 on the road in January. Oz saw its nine-game win streak snapped against Roc City’s B-Sides last month, but will try to start a new streak. The rugged Albany team will have other ideas.

A portion of proceeds will benefit the local chapter of the American Red Cross.

Tickets cost $15 for trackside VIP with general admission tickets $10. Admission is $5 for children ages 4 to 12, with children 3 and under admitted free.
