Fulton Schools’ Construction Work Wrapping Up in Time for School to Open

Nearly everything that is supposed to be ready for the opening of school in Fulton will be ready, officials say.

The district is in the midst of a pair of construction projects involving every building. Most of the work is saved for the summer break, putting crews on tight schedules to have work completed by the opening of school in September.

Ashley Wescott, Diana Pschierer, Brittany Petersen and Jenny Watson enjoy SUNY Oswego Night at the Oswego Farmers’ Market on Thursday.

The heat and humidity didn’t deter Oswegonians from purchasing their favorite fruits, vegetables and sweets or just meeting their friends downtown. Thursday was SUNY Oswego night at the market and many college students were among the dozens of market-goers.

Friday Night Super Cruise and ‘Party In The Pits’ Canceled – Practice Still On For Race Teams

The weekend weather forecast has claimed the first and hopefully only victim of the 2010 Budweiser Classic Weekend as the Syracuse Nationals Super Cruise and WSEN “Party in the Pits” has been canceled for Friday night.

Increase In Calls Seen At County DSS

We are projecting more than 3,000 reports for the year if the pace of reports continues at this level. Last year we ended with 2,757. This is a 9.4 percent increase over 2009 and a 31.5 percent increase over the last two years. We’re averaging about 251 reports a month, that’s pretty significant, the commissioner said.

The Oswego Lady Bucs volleyball team started the defense of their league title with a 25-12, 25-8, 25-14 win over Auburn. The girls are 1-0 in the league play and 1-0 overall.
