OSWEGO, NY – Marguerite E. Gill, 87, and a resident of 124 E. Albany St., Oswego, died Sunday Sept. 7, 2008, in Oswego Hospital.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late William and Minnie Geers Zischke.
Mrs. Gill was the widow of the late Edmund Gill, who died in 1996.
She had been employed for 23 years on the clerical staff with the County of Oswego, she retired in 1985.
She was a former communicant of St. Louis Church in Oswego.
She is survived by one son, Dennis (Nancy) Gill of Germantown, NY; one sister, Betty (William) Backus of Oswego; and five grandchildren, Lisa Gill, Keri (Corey) Gill-Smith, Mark Gill, Barbara Gill and Kathleen Gill.
She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Gill; and a sister, Ileen Edwards; two brothers, Karl Zischke and William Zischke.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and in St. Peter’s Church at 9:30 a.m.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
