Henry J. Wood, Sr., 90

Henry J. Wood, Sr., 90, of Fulton, died Wednesday at The Manor at Seneca Hill. Born in Fulton, he was a life resident.

Henry retired from Exxon Mobil as a truck driver in 1974. He was an Army veteran serving from 1936 to 1943. Henry was an active member and past president of the Fulton and Syracuse D.A.V. He was also a member of the Fulton American Legion Post 587 and a honorary member of the Fulton V.F.W. Post 569. Henry enjoyed camping and was a member of the Oswego Valley RV Association.

He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Cora E. Wood, who died January 11, 2002 and by a daughter, Carol E. Maher, who died September 27, 2005. Surviving: a daughter, Maryann Donaldson of Hannibal; two sons, Henry J. (Diane) Wood, Jr. of Fulton and Edward (Susan) Wood, Sr. of Hannibal; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Richard Wood of TX; two sisters, Evelyn Wood of OR and Jean Palen of Hannibal; several nieces and nephews.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
