UPDATE 8:35 PM
On Tuesday (March 26) at about 11:27 a.m. members of the Oswego Town Fire Department and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Engles Road in the Town of Oswego.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Engles Road at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle then left the north side of the roadway, became airborne before striking a tree then flipped onto its roof killing the driver and three passengers.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 19-year-old Joesph L. McCarthy of Oswego Town and the passengers were identified as 20-year-old James T. Stone, 23-year-old Efrain A. Rodriguez and 23-year-old Joshua L. Schute, all of which were from the town of Granby.

UPDATE: 4:05 p.m. – The road is open again.
All four of the males were reportedly deceased. Their ages and names have not been released.

UPDATE 3:50 p.m.
They just removed the car from the scene.
Oswego Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
There were 4 people in the car, all reportedly male, and there are no positive IDs yet.
The vehicle is said to be Dodge Intrepid.
The crash reportedly happened sometime Monday night, between County Route 7 and the Rathburn Road.
It was discovered around 9:30 a.m. today (March 26) by a highway worker who called it in, deputies said.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a MVA on Engles Road in the Town of Oswego.
Authorities have set up roadblocks at each end of Engles Road detouring traffic away from the accident scene.
According to our Janel Sullivan, deputies are still on the scene investigating the crash.
There is no word yet as to what vehicle(s) were involved and what injuries may have resulted.
