An outpouring of donations have contributed to the family of Cammeo Lazzaro. The Oswego City School District recently conducted a fundraiser for the Oswego High School senior who was seriously burned. Cammeo remains in a Boston hospital burn unit.
Katie and Emily Bradshaw have begun collecting items to send to their uncle and his comrades who are serving in Iraq. They hope the holiday care packages will cheer up the soldiers.
Even though the Red Kettle Campaign is conducted during the holiday season its funds are stretched to help those in need all year round. There is always room for more volunteer bellringers, Salvation Army officials said.
