Red-Hot Shooting Propels Men’s Basketball Past Cazenovia 109-59

Six players reached double figures as the Oswego State men’s basketball team reached the 100-point plateau in a 109-59 victory over host Cazenovia on Friday night. The Laker offense started the contest on an 11-0 run to set the tone as it shot a blazing 61.3 percent from the field on 46-of-75 shooting and went 15-for-18 from the free throw line for 83.3 percent. Oswego State moved to 4-3 on the season, while Cazenovia fell to 0-9 overall.

Oswego State Women’s Basketball Defeats Cazenovia 66-55

Sophomore Kayla Ryan (Schaghticoke, N.Y.) exploded for 33 points to help the Oswego State women’s basketball team close out the first half of the season with a 66-55 victory at Cazenovia on Friday night. The Lakers held a 22-point halftime advantage, but had to hold off a late Wildcat charge for the win. Oswego State improved to 3-5 overall, while Cazenovia dropped to 1-5.

New York was recently named as one of the most prepared states in the nation in the event of a health emergency. We were one of eight states to achieve this distinction, according to national organizations that annually compare state public health policies and performance. We have people in the public and private health sectors collaborating effectively to provide a safe state and establish our state as an example for others. It takes many hours of planning and hard work to earn this type of designation.
