UPDATE: On June 25, the Oswego City Police Department, working on information obtained in the case, executed an additional search warrant at an undisclosed location in the city of Oswego and recovered $59,000 in suspected drug money.
The New York State Sheriffs’ Association Institute recently held a week-long Basic School for deputy sheriffs and civilian staff who work in Sheriffs’ civil divisions.
New York Governor David Paterson kept his promise. Moments after the state Senate and Assembly passed bills completing the state budget, he began vetoing them. His first veto: A bill that would have given schools $400 million more than the Governor would give them.

Reservations to attend the forum are requested by July 9.
The informational meeting is a pre-requisite to the 10-session certification training program for adoptive or foster parents. People who are considering becoming foster or adoptive parents must attend an orientation meeting before enrolling in the certification training program.
