Campus Employees Donate Proceeds of Wear Red Day

Led by President Deborah F. Stanley, SUNY Oswego's campus community celebrated Wear Red Day on Feb. 4 to support the American Heart Association's fight against cardiovascular disease, the No.1 killer nationally among women. The effort, carried out by 21 employee volunteers collected $5 donations around campus, raised $1,525 for research, education and the development of new treatments to fight heart disease. Eleven student volunteers on Feb. 4 provided information and sold heart healthy snacks in the Campus Center corridor. The president's Office of Business and Community Relations and its interim director, Jeffrey Grimshaw, chaired the event.
