With the arrival of summer, local residents are spending more and more time outdoors enjoying the warmer weather. However, because the city of Oswego has an Open Burning Ordinance, many residents have felt that they were unable to partake in barbecues or camp fires.
The Oz Roller Girls provided a portion of proceeds from its May roller derby bout, where Humane Society mascots Porky and Buddy collected loose change donations.

The New York Lottery today announced Candi Maestri of Fulton won $25,000 on the Lottery’s Cash Multiplier instant game. Maestri’s winning ticket was purchased at the Lakeland Mini Mart at 915 State Fair Blvd in Syracuse.
