BREAKING NEWS: One person is dead in a trailer fire at 273 Peat Bed Rd., Hannibal, officials confirm. Two other people were injured.
The names of the people killed or injured have not been released yet. The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department will release information on the fire later today.
This year, 27 families, including 72 children, are being helped by the Frederick Leighton Elementary School Holiday Giving Project. Recently, many of the supporters of the effort gathered.
Beth Kazel, director of Oswego County Opportunities’ Education Services, presented Doreen Jetty-McCoy with a longevity award for 20 years of service to OCO. She began her career at OCO as a teacher at the agency’s Curtis Street facility.

Joseph F. Salvador, 82, a resident of East Eighth St. Oswego, passed away December 13, 2011 at Seneca Hill Manor.
Charles M. “Mac” McElhone, 93, died Tuesday peacefully surrounded by friends and family at St. Luke Health Services.
Mary L. Vredenburg, 72 and a resident of 154 West Mohawk Street in Oswego, passed away Sunday morning, December 11, 2011.
