Area walkers and runners can support Oswego Health’s cancer outreach and educational programs by taking part in the seventh annual Oswego Health Charity Walk/Run to be held May 19 at the Seneca Hill Health Community.
The Charles E. Riley Student Council has conducted several fundraisers this year to raise money for the flood stricken Owego Elementary School.
Frederick Allen, 73, of Fulton, who died February 1, 2012, will have a spring burial at noon on May 4 at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.

Anna Burnett, 92, of Fulton, who died February 20, 2012, will have a spring burial 10:30 a.m. April 30 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton, with Rev. Stephen Wirkes officiating.
It recognizes outstanding work by the city’s emergency service providers, civilians, and community leaders for the year 2011. All are welcome to attend.
It was originally founded in 2006 as a grassroots initiative designed to educate
the public and to support and show appreciation to the men and women who
have served our country.
The suspect was allegedly found by a homeowner in the process of burglarizing an apartment. He was detained, without force, by a friend of the homeowner until police arrived.
